DAWN CONTINUOUS

Opportunities to contribute music to a variety of film productions over the past few years inspired many of the songs on this album. Some of these pieces were written for a particular score while others were auditioned for various scenes during the editing process. Dawn Continuous is the culmination of that work. While the main instrumentation remains a modular synth, the sound of this album expanded to include many acoustic instruments such as piano, glockenspiel, pump organ and upright bass. This album also marks the return to working within a DAW(digital audio workstation), having produced the two prior albums without a DAW. The combination of internal and external gear allowed for a unique interplay of digital and analog sources, making for a rich listening experience. This collection of songs lean into their cinematic origins, swinging from the quiet and reflective, to brooding moments of angst. The result is a delicately layered journey inward that rewards the listener with each respective track.
